One year of PRGN presidency – a brief overview

Alexandra Diniță, founder and Managing Partner of Free Communication, completed her one-year term as President of PRGN, the global network of independent public relations and communication agencies, which Free Communication is a part of. The recognition came at a special time for PRGN – its 30th anniversary. Although it would have been expected that the representative of a larger market or with a longer history in PRGN would take the presidency this notable year, Free Communication, through Alexandra, was chosen. However, it was a year of changes for PRGN, changes aimed at taking the organization forward, to a new level.

This experience confirmed how important and good it is to be in the right place, near the right people. PRGN is a very united organization, through business interests, but above all through friendship, empathy and support. It was also a leadership exercise at another level, because the decisions taken were no longer reflected only in the agency and the market, but in 50 countries on all continents, much more delicately, because there are contextual, economic, social differences, etc., which must be known and taken into account.

Holding the presidency during the pandemic was also a telling experience. For PRGN, the period was a very good catalyst, questions were asked, changes were made, forces and resources were mobilized, the organization left a somewhat inert phase. It was different and difficult, but it was done as a team, with beautiful and experienced people, both in PRGN and in Free.

The advantages of being a PRGN member are felt on all levels, every day. The exchange of experience, ideas, best practices, in such a way that all agencies are aware of what is happening in communication almost everywhere in the world and ready to respond to any needs of clients in other markets. New trends are discussed in advance, which can also be put into practice locally, studies are carried out at the global level, which help to better understand the audiences.

The PRGN membership experience is dynamic, so there will be more exciting things to come.
